"Warm Winter 9" Campaign
Winter meant for all Syrians a season of goodness, warmth and intimacy, so that more than 9 years ago they became a season of misery and deprivation for the displaced and refugees after uprooting them from their homes to tents sprawling in the tops of mountains or the stomachs of valleys in northern Syria and Arsal Lebanon.
More than 1,000,000 people live in informal camps lacking the basic necessities of life and services in northern Syria, suffering from the cold that creeps into their children from all sides of the tent, and as soon as the sky is filtered by raindrops, torrents of valleys sweep away their worn tents.
The Warm Winter campaign, which is launched by the Ghiras Al-Khair Humanitarian Association every year before the start of winter, aims to provide food aid, heating materials and tools to the displaced in northwest Syria and refugees in Arsal camps in Lebanon, especially the families of the families of martyrs and detainees who have lost breadwinners.
The assistance we provide each year includes:
- Heating materials: Birin “charcoal”, firewood for heating or diesel, in addition to heaters, sponges and blankets.
- Food baskets that include the basic food items that the family needs for their food.
- Winter clothing includes (pants – sweater – boots – cap blight paws).
In the past year 2021-2022, more than 366,000 beneficiaries benefited from the Warm Winter 8 campaign, and our goal in this year’s Warm Winter 9 campaign is to reach more than 500,000 beneficiaries.
With your support, we will be able to achieve the goal of our campaign and provide food and warmth to the less fortunate families in northern Syria and Arsal, Lebanon.
